I always find it fairly ridiculous when an environmental group forgets their message when it comes to advertising. If you really want to help the environment, then you need to think about just how you are going to promote your group in a responsible way. This is a little hard, but the payoff in the end will be worth it.
Just start by thinking about promotional USB drives. They are a great way to advertise just about everything. This is the information age. People like flash drives and they like free stuff. It’s a smart way to get your name out there. There is a real reason you need to get quality though. USB drives are basically hazardous waste to the environment if they are made with poor quality materials. If you don’t take the time to go with a good supplier, then you are doing more harm than good. Besides, once that drive breaks, you lose all your leverage.
This also works when it comes to paper advertising. If you are really environmentalists, then take a minute and buy recycled cards to use for your advertising. It’s really easy and it shows that you are actually committed to your ideals. There are plenty of places online to buy them too, so you really don’t have an excuse.
The best part of both of these plans is that they themselves will get people talking about your group. People do care about the environment. Just get them talking about it to see a real boost to the enrollment.
