I am looking for some unique gift ideas as I am running out of ideas f things to give people. I always like to give people something that they think is good fun and something that no one else is likely to give them. I get great joy out of seeing their faces when they open a present with a gift of something very unusual. I have just found a great website which mainly does things like coach gifts but they also do some other great personalised gifts. I love giving people personal things because it shows that I have put thought into it and it means more to them as well. I am really interested in the personalized blankets that they have as I think that they are a really lovely gift. It is great to put names on things and maybe some nice photos as well. They do a lovely photo blanket and so I may be ordering a few of those for some people. I think that they look so nice that I might even get one for myself as well.

I have just started my own shaved ice business. It is something that I have never really thought about before, but I just know that I have always wanted to run a business of some sort. I know that markets change all of the time and so have always thought it silly to decide on what business you want to run until you are actually in a position to start doing it and then you can see what the market is demanding. With the way things are going at the moment, with the recession etc I think that people are buying cheaper luxuries because they cannot afford expensive ones. Therefore I have decided that investing in shaved ice machines is a good idea as people will be wanting to treat themselves and their children to things like this as it is something that they can still afford. I am hoping that things will get going with the business soon, ready for the summer when the peak of the business will be. Hopefully we can build up a good customer base and get things going before the popular summer period.

I cannot believe that the girls at the office have been talking about getting father’s day gifts already. I suppose it is not that far away really. My children just make cards for their Daddy, I do not believe in doing presents for fathers or mothers day ? I think it is not fair to expect the children to do that. However, I do have to buy something for my Father as I ave always done so. I have been trying to think of something a bit more original this year. I often used to do something in the corporate gifts line but he is retired now. I have considered various option but at his age you really have everything that you need. I was considering something in the personalised gifts market like a pen or something with his name on but he might think it was a bit naff. I think that I will just have to do what I have done for the last few years and take him out for a nice meal somewhere. There is a great Thai place in the town where he lives, that we often go to and he likes so it might be back there again!

I have been hunting around for some unique bridesmaid gifts. There are lots of places that sell them now, which helps. The Internet is a great place to look as there are all sorts of different on line shops selling a variety of things. Some of them being specific bridesmaids gifts and others being more general gift places where I was probably more likely to find something a bit more unique than they might have. It is very time consuming looking through all of these website and I have not yet managed to find what I want really, but it has been a lot of fun. There are a great selection of bridemaids key rings, jewellery, candles, pens and things but I really want something a bit more special than that and so am prepared to spend a lot of time and effort looking around for bridesmaid gift ideas until I find exactly what I am looking for. I have an idea that a handbag might be a good gift but it is hard to know what type to get, but I am sure I will know when I find the right thing.
