I was a bridesmaid very recently for my sister. It was a really lovely wedding and everyone had a really good time. I was most impressed with the unique bridesmaid gifts that they gave to all the girls that helped out the bride. So much thought had gone into them and not everyone had the same thing either. This meant that they got something unique that had been well thought out and suited their personality. I really appreciated that and I am sure that the other girls did as well. I often think that coming up with bridesmaid gift ideas must be really hard, especially when you have so much else to think about when you are planning a wedding. I think that the websites which offer gift ideas are probably pretty useful for most people however I sometimes wonder whether bridesmaids key rings are really, that nice… a gift! I would much rather have a necklace or pair of earrings myself but I guess that is just a taste thing and I am sure that some girls would really like that sort of thing. That is why it was so nice at the wedding I was at, that each person had a different gift.

My company has just got a great new IP video system which is really great. Everyone has been having really good fun, trying it out. People thought that it would be a waste of time putting it in, having never had a system like it before, they had no idea what fun it would be using it. You have to book the system now because it is so popular and everyone seems to be talking about it, either wondering when they will get a chance to use it or how much fun they had when they did use it. It is great to hear everyone excited about something as with the recession everyone has been complaining about their lack of pay rise or bonus and it is nice for that moaning to stop for a while. It is amazing that video over IP could be so exciting but it is nice to hear excited chatter and hear people more positive about things for a change in the office, rather than seeing sad faces about all of the time. Hopefully this happy mood will continue for a nice long time and everyone will forget about the lack of a pay rise for a while. Personally I am just grateful that I have a job at the moment.
